Gah, looking at this! That giant discolouration is from the glue underneath of the linoleum, and under the part we've re-tiled is a hole. Lest you think the rest of the house is in this condition bear in mind that we've redone and improved the house substantially in the two years we've been here, replacing the entire kitchen including the subfloor.
Yay! Pretty new floor! Dryer duct is covered with paper and an elastic, quarter-round and tools scattered everywhere, and Smike sitting around the corner cutting pieces to fit at 2am.

Laundry room, again, foyer view. I love those curtains. Smike also put on a door stop (which had been removed) so that the door doesn't bash into the washer or sink.
Yeah, I know the laundry cart has one wonky basket. I've got a load of towels in there that I didn't bother straightening before I took the photo.
